A Holiday Bar cart

Yesterday we posted about some of our favorite bar carts (you can see them here). Today, we’re sharing how we’ve gotten our own ready for the holidays, because, who doesn’t decorate their bar cart for Christmas?! Here was our bar cart before we went crazy on it. A little while later it was ready for guests. What we did was super easy, but it really made an impact. We took a long piece of garland, securing it to the cart by wrapping it through the small openings on the top rail. The bell wreath is something we’ve had forever that we hung by a little loop on one of the little balls along the top rail. We couldn’t resist including our favorite green and white twist straws from Fishs Eddy in a little cup. We like decorating our bar cart because it’s often a place guests spend a fair amount of time near during a party. Plus, it’s a great way to add a little holiday flair to the dining room when the table isn’t set. You might have noticed we’ve changed the wallpaper in the dining room. While we loved the old Nina Campbell Swan Lake wallpaper, we got sick of it pretty quickly. The new paper from Schumacher is soft, but graphic. It’s amazing what a different feeling this room has taken on since we installed it.  Much more calm and refreshing! The vintage gold and green tumblers were found at Brimfield, as was the cut glass vase. These are a few of the bar cart accessories we’ve had our eye on lately. We think any of these things would make great holiday gifts, too. 1. Mr. and Mrs. Cocktail Glass Set 2. Lizard coasters 3. Cocktail Shaker 4. Bottle stopper 5. Lips cocktail napkins. Anyone else decorate their bar cart for the holidays or are we just loony?!
