As often as we can, we try to clue you in to great quality, affordable furniture resources that are available online and to the general public. The reason we started our “The Best” posts was because we recognize that many of you are not buying custom furniture designed by an interior designer and that you just want someone to help narrow down the plethora of options that are available to you online. (image below via Lonny)We hope our selections (all of which we’ve either seen in person or actually used for a client or in our own home) will help you create a bedroom you love! And on that note, here are 6 bedside tables that we believe are incredibly chic, versatile and above all, affordable (to see more “The Best” posts click here).
From left to right: Serena & Lily ($495): we’re always psyched to see a good parsons-style raffia covered piece of furniture. This little cube side table would work well almost anywhere–it’s a particularly great option for small bedrooms where space is an issue.
Williams Sonoma ($895): we used a pair of these side tables in the master bedroom we designed for Abby Larson (Style Me Pretty) and we really liked the way they looked. What’s nice about this style is that it is very flexible and would look equally at home on either side of a sofa as it does on either side of a bed.
Ballard Designs ($349): this gray wash-finish side table is a piece we’ve used on numerous projects and it never fails us. It’s got elegant, clean lines, pretty legs, and it works as a single or a pair just about anywhere.
Oly (call for pricing): we like the graphic sides of this side table as well as the multiple shelves to display books and other pretty things. The fact that this piece doesn’t have a back is part of why it’s so appealing and why it could easily move into your living room.
Ethan Allen ($479): we saw this piece yesterday in the Ethan Allen showroom. We love the scalloped-edge top and the pedestal base that references antique American pieces. The scale is also quite perfect to fit a sizable lamp and still have room for your book, a glass of water, and an alarm clock.
Hickory Chair (call for pricing): this side table was designed by interior decorator Alexa Hampton for Hickory chair. It was originally a custom design for a client that she then introduced into her line for Hickory. If you are looking to buy custom furniture, Hickory Chair is a great option and you can buy directly through the showroom without a designer. We custom colored this piece with white striping.
We’re curious, what’s the most you would spend on a bedside table?
