Modern Credenzas

We’re on the hunt for the perfect modern console/credenza as one of the last pieces going into a young couple’s dining room. As city dwellers, they are looking for a piece of furniture that looks cool, but they have practical needs too. Storage space is at a minimum in most apartment dwellings, so the value of extra drawers or additional shelf space is enormous. We rounded up these five contenders to present to our client. Which one do you like best?
console21. Design Within Reach Sussex Tall Credenza. This piece, designed by Terrence Woodgate is a veritable workhorse for storage. It combines drawers and shelves inside each section.
console32. Organic Modernism Cincinnati . We love the white lacquered frame surrounding this piece. The front doors are made of American walnut.
console43. Organic Modernism Mariposa. This piece  has two doors, and two drawers. We love the brass buttterfly shaped handles and brass legs.
console14. 1st Dibs Brushed Oak 1940’s French. We love this long and slim shape, with two tiers, in light-colored brushed oak. It personifies elegant, unfussy design. We’d probably add baskets below for hide-away storage.
cosole55. 1st Dibs wall-mounted in the style of Paul McCobb. We adore this piece, mounted on a wall as if it is floating. It requires a careful installation, but could be a real game changer stylistically. Have you found any interesting console pieces in your travels?

These are such nice picks! Consoles are perfect in every room. They are so functional and stylish too. My favorite is the first one in the pictures above.
