Kitchen Renovation 101: Cabinet Installation

Time for an update on our kitchen renovation! Apologies for not being better about updating the blog lately–we’ve been swamped with design work! But back to my new kitchen; this week the cabinets were installed. Fabricated under the supervision of Studio Dearborn in Ohio, we couldn’t be happier with the quality. The paint color is Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace, a color we frequently use for kitchen cabinets. It’s a lovely, chalky white. All of the cabinetry has a shop finish, i.e. spray painted off site and delivered and installed in mint condition.KitchenReno-CabinetsThe refrigerator is now located on the other wall in the kitchen. Why didn’t I think of this sooner? To the right are multiple cabinets hiding pantry and storage space. I’ll show you the insides when we get further along. It’s going to be so efficient! No more messy countertops.

Stone countertops were templated this week, and will be fabricated to fit on top of the cabinets by the end of next week. Also, the island is coming soon! Stay tuned as we move closer to completion. Special thanks to Classic Construction for their excellent workmanship. For more on my kitchen renovation process, click here and here Have a great weekend!

Your kitchen looks amazing.! We have a smaller kitchen and have been wondering how we could get additional storage added. I love your design and color choices and especially like the extra touch to the ceiling!

Yes, indeed the renovation looks amazing. It really reflects your creativity and
obviously the time you have invested. Great job done! But is it possible to do
it all by yourself or do we need a professional handyman?
